9.13.10 - 9.17.10: Week 4

It is important to use our observations/knowledge of the world around us to understand and make meaning out of what we read. Thinking about your experience with the writing excursion, how much importance does your author place on how two characters in your book dress/look? How do you know this?

In my book,'' THE STONE  GODDESS'', the author talks mainly about Nakri and Teeda. The author talks about Nakri who is very skinny, for the hard time their passing through, she is very brave and strong. When the author talks about Teeda she talks about her more, she say show she is feeling and how she looks, more than Nakri.

I now this because the author talks about  Teeda more than Nakri  and  even though the book is more about Nakri, when the author  talks about Teeda she talks about her with more feeling, and expression.

  1. Yuritizi,
You have a good start to a complete response here. I like how you mention how you know certain things because of what the author does. I'm curious though, how do you think that this would look if you brought in actual examples from the book to support your thinking? How do you think that this would change your response and your reflection?

Grade: 5-6 PP You showed a sufficient amount of understanding of the assignment and expectations and were aware of the choices that you made in your work. The assignment reflected imagination and worldly awareness as well as some literary terms and features with intention and understanding.
